Alloy Metal:
Alloy Metal is a usually made up of mixed metals including copper and brass. Can come in many fun colors. Alloy Metal jewelry is an inexpensive metal and is considered costume jewelry, and should not be worn all the time as it can tarnish. Never wear alloy metal jewelry in the water, bath or swimming pools to avoid tarnishing.
Stainless Steel:
Stainless steel is a slightly more expensive metal that is stain resistant that will hold up from being tarnished much better than brass or copper jewelry. You may still want to avoid wearing stainless steel jewelry in pools and showers, but stainless steel should not tarnish on you.
Sterling Silver:
Stamped 95N Sterling Silver is almost pure sterling silver, but usually has a small percentage (up to 5%) of mixed metals. Mixed metals are usually added to pure silver to make it more resistant, as pure silver is soft and prone to tarnishing. Either way, sterling silver jewelry can still tarnish, use sterling silver polish to freshen it up as needed. Avoid wearing sterling silver jewelry in the water, bath or swimming pools to avoid tarnishing.
